Luca Buscherini appointed Managing Director of SECO Northern Europe

SECO Northern Europe appoints Luca Buscherini as Managing Director of SECO Group at the Hamburg side. Buscherini follows Dirk Finstel, who will remain with the company in another position with a focus on strategy development for the entire group of companies.

The SECO group is taking the next step in its corporate development, strengthening its own position as a leading provider of edge computing, IoT and artificial intelligence.

The new Managing Director, Luca Buscherini, has more than 25 years of experience in management roles with well-known international technology companies in ICT, Telco and Power sectors. Buscherini's appointment is intended to accelerate the European business and bring the European SECO even closer together. A major strength is that Buscherini is native Italian and has spent a large part of his career in Germany at leading technology groups. This will enable the German-Italian group to grow even closer together, despite the thousands of kilometres separating them.

"SECO has been a strong partner in the embedded market with its products for numerous decades. SECO is a technology leader operating in a booming market with a multitude of incredible applications in many vertical business segments - it is simply a great company," says Buscherini. "Through its innovations in IoT and AI software solutions and the development of the corresponding Clea business suite, the Group is better placed than any other company to offer its customers the best technological solutions to unlock future growth opportunities," Luca Buscherini continues.

Dirk Finstel will take on a leading role in the SECO group of companies and further develop the global growth of the entire group. During his time at SECO Northern Europe, Finstel was instrumental in driving new innovations and initiating important steps to strengthen the SECO Group's position in the European market.

"I am sure that with Luca Buscherini, we have a Managing Director in Germany who will significantly drive the potential and developments in the coming decades. I am looking forward to the intensive cooperation, the daily coordination and the strong growing together of our two largest locations in Europe in this way", says Massimo Mauri, SECO Group CEO.
