SECO USA is an experienced partner for deployed embedded solutions, with more than 25 years of expertise in the US and global defense, unmanned vehicle, and avionics markets. We offer commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) embedded processing modules designed and manufactured in North America and Europe, and customized electronic devices and circuitry designed in our US-based facility.

SECO USA maintains a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code of 8Z220 and is ITAR registered. We offer AS9100 and ISO 9001-compliant production facilities in the US and Europe, as required.

SECO USA has served a variety of US defense industry prime and lower-tier contractors with rugged device design and application-specific embedded circuitry, developing core competencies in the following areas:

  • Multimedia handheld smart devices, with touch displays, radios, and specialized user controls
  • Battery-operated devices
  • Wireless communications, including Wi-Fi, cellular (5G, LTE), Wi-Fi HaLow, ZigBee/802.15.4, and military radios
  • Linux, Android, VxWorks, and other RTOS operating systems
  • Vehicle-mounted device and circuitry, including ground, aircraft, and marine vehicle power compatibility

SECO USA has deep expertise with the military standards critical for designing, qualifying, and delivering rugged defense electronics. Standards include:

  • Rugged environments: MIL-STD-810
  • Electromagnetic compliance: MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464
  • Ground and aircraft vehicle power: MIL-STD-1275 and MIL-STD-704
  • Device ergonomics: MIL-STD-1472

The wide range of SECO’s off-the-shelf Computer on Modules (COMs) enables our clients to accelerate development, lower costs, and bring solutions to market faster.

Designed for demanding environments, our edge solutions offer industrial temperature and conformal coating options, AI/CV/ML workloads support, and a wide selection of operating systems. We ensure long product lifecycles of up to 10-15 years, with a stable bill of materials (BOM) and strict revision control. We also offer comprehensive design services, from custom carrier boards to full board support package (BSP) integration when needed.

Using a modified COTS design approach, SECO USA can design and manufacture custom devices, circuitry, and software based on validated commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products. SECO USA's process significantly shortens development time, lowers development cost, and minimizes risk.
