SECO to showcase SOM-SMARC-Dragonwing-IQ8 module and Edge AI technologies at electronica 2026

From Edge Lab LIVE! demos to conference sessions, Arrow’s IQ8 showcase and additional partner presences, visitors can see how Edge AI moves towards deployment.

SECO will present its SOM-SMARC-Dragonwing-IQ8 module and Edge AI technologies at electronica 2026, held from 10 to 13 November in Munich, Germany. Through Edge Lab LIVE! demonstrations, partner showcases across multiple halls and two conference sessions, visitors can learn more about how SECO’s modular hardware, AI development tools and lifecycle software support OEMs developing intelligent connected products.

SOM-SMARC-Dragonwing-IQ8 and SECO’s integrated Edge AI approach

At Edge Lab LIVE!, Hall C5, Booth 100/42, SECO plans to showcase its integrated hardware and software approach through a demonstration involving Clea, Clea Studio AI and a Modular Vision HMI. The demonstration will show the complete journey from selecting an AI application in the SECO App Hub to configuring it in Clea Studio AI and deploying it through Clea on a Modular Vision QCS6490 at the edge.

The booth will also feature the SOM-SMARC-Dragonwing-IQ8, SECO’s SMARC® Rel. 2.2 system-on-module based on Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ IQ8 Series technology.

Arduino® VENTUNO™ Q gives engineers a way to prototype applications on Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ IQ8 Series technology. Through the Works with Arduino™ programme, SECO positions its module as a path towards an industrial SMARC design built on the same hardware and software foundation. SECO supports that transition with guidance on I/O mapping, carrier-board design and software integration. For deployed products, Clea OS can support device management, software updates and security maintenance. Furthermore, Clea enables customers to rapidly build, deploy, and scale Edge AI applications across massive device fleets while ensuring security, connectivity, and operational efficiency through its IoT framework.

The module’s Qualcomm® Hexagon™ neural processing unit offers up to 40 TOPS of AI acceleration. Alongside camera and display interfaces, this makes it relevant to applications such as industrial vision, robotics and intelligent human-machine interfaces. The SOM-SMARC-Dragonwing-IQ8 module is also planned for display in the Arduino area at CODICO’s booth (Hall C3, Booth 558/559).

Digital IQ8 showcase at Arrow

At Arrow’s stand (Hall C4, Booth 420), SECO plans to present the SOM-SMARC-Dragonwing-IQ8 platform via a tablet-based digital showcase in the Factory Automation area. Visitors will be able to browse product images, videos and datasheets. A separate SECO Edge AI photo demonstration is planned for the stand’s meeting rooms.

SECO on stage at Edge Lab LIVE!

On 10 November at 09:30, Fausto Di Segni, Chief AI and IoT Officer at SECO, will participate in the Keynote “From Makers to Millions: Scaling Innovation for the AI Era”, alongside other representatives, including Marcello Majonchi, Chief Product Officer of Arduino, Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., discussing how embedded innovation can progress from prototyping to commercial deployment.

On 12 November at 16:00, Matteo Del Balio, Product & Marketing Program Manager at SECO, will present “From Visual Workflow to CRA-Ready Edge Deployment”.  The session will build on the Edge AI workflow showcased at the booth, using Clea and a Modular Vision 10.1" HMI to illustrate how an AI application can move from development to deployment at the edge. Starting with the software bill of materials for a controlled Clea OS production image, the presentation will take attendees through vulnerability assessment, update packaging, deployment and rollback, showing how the same edge AI system can be managed securely throughout its lifecycle.

Beyond Edge Lab LIVE! and the Arrow showcase, SECO technologies are also planned to be featured through additional selected partner locations across electronica, including the Arduino area at the CODICO booth, as well as the stands of Spezial Electronic, Atlantik Elektronik, and NXP.

Among the additional products on display, SECO’s SOM-SMARC-MX952, based on the NXP i.MX 952 Applications Processor, will be showcased at Edge Lab LIVE! and at the Spezial Electronic booth, targeting display-centric industrial and commercial edge applications requiring responsive HMI performance, real-time processing and light on-device AI.

Visitors can meet the SECO team directly at Edge Lab LIVE!, Hall C5, Booth 100/42, throughout electronica 2026.
