SECO S.p.A. (SECO) and NXP® Semiconductors (NXP) are pleased to announce a significant milestone in their collaboration to make SECO’s Clea software platform available to all NXP silicon users and tightly integrated with NXP's EdgeLock® 2GO service platform. This collaboration, building on a longstanding partnership, aims to leverage Clea’s advanced features and NXP’s processing capabilities to deliver an optimized development environment for AI-powered devices in industrial and IoT applications.
SECO and NXP are jointly committed to promoting and bringing to market a unified hardware and software solution based on NXP silicon, SECO’s Clea software suite, and NXP’s EdgeLock 2GO security services.
This bidirectional agreement, based on mutual benefits and synergies, will incentivize joint efforts toward continuous innovation and deeper market penetration. The collaboration strategically targets sectors where the demand for AI-driven IoT applications is growing rapidly. SECO’s extensive vertical expertise can be leveraged in digitalization tenders for integrated hardware and software solutions directly coordinated by NXP, facilitating access to high-value business opportunities.
The recent agreement sets forth the terms of the collaboration, building on Clea’s availability across all NXP silicon and native integration into NXP’s official Linux and Zephyr BSPs. This enables NXP’s customers to quickly access Clea’s IoT data and device management features, providing device manufacturers with a seamless end-to-end solution for building IoT applications and deploying AI models at scale. Combining SECO’s software expertise with NXP’s hardware and secure cloud services strengths, this synergy is expected to accelerate innovation, foster future growth, and expedite product development and market entry for customers.
“This partnership agreement with SECO and their Clea platform will enlarge the value proposition to our customers by providing them access to Clea’s ready-to-use, pre-trained AI algorithms supporting multiple use cases. Furthermore, Clea will offer secure provisioning of devices by leveraging NXP’s EdgeLock 2GO services. This will allow final customers to follow the whole lifecycle of their product, with the aim to have secure OTA, open and revoke other partners of services and applications (SAAS) without the need to change hardware across the full lifetime of our customers’ products,” said Luca Difalco, Senior Vice President, Global Sales, NXP Semiconductors.
“This partnership between NXP and SECO represents a significant milestone in our technological advancements in both hardware and software. Over the years, we have built a strong, privileged relationship and share a common vision for the future of the industrial IoT market. Our joint commitment, focused on the Clea software and EdgeLock 2GO, takes our collaboration to new heights,” said Massimo Mauri, CEO of SECO.
